Fashion, Fun & a Good Cause: Charity Catwalk Hits the Aghadowey Stage

magazine Apr 02, 2025

On the evening of Wednesday, 30th April, the usually quiet Aghadowey Presbyterian Church Hall will be transformed into a vibrant showcase of style, soul, and community spirit.

At 7.30pm sharp, the catwalk lights go up for a fashion show unlike any other - all in support of Hope Unwrapped, the one-of-a-kind charity shop located on 98 Drumcroon Road, Coleraine.

Forget fast fashion – everything modelled on the night has been generously donated to the shop, ranging from designer pieces with labels still intact to one-off, brilliantly quirky finds that are impossible to replicate.

Whether you’re into bright, bold statement pieces or understated elegance, this show promises something for everyone. And with models aged from 17 right up to 80, this is a celebration of fashion for every generation.

There’ll be at least fifteen fabulous volunteer models strutting their stuff in style, and the best part? Every look you see on the runway will be up for grabs in the shop – talk about shoppable style!

To round off the night, guests will be treated to a light supper. Tickets are just £8, and you can grab yours from the shop itself, message them via Facebook (Hope Unwrapped), or pick one up from one of the models or volunteers.

For those who haven’t yet discovered the Aladdin’s cave, which is Hope Unwrapped, you’re in for a treat.

It’s more than just clothes – the shop is stocked with everything from furniture and electrical goods (yes, all PAT tested!) to books, ornaments, curtains, and more.

Whether you're hunting for a bargain, a book for your next holiday, or a bold new outfit, you’ll find it here – all supporting a truly meaningful cause.
